We want your ideas. What do you think are the technological and business model innovations required to address water scarcity? How can we do more with less? How do you think that we can best leverage the strength of the private sector to achieve results? We challenge large companies, entrepreneurs, other donors, and NGOs to help us improve the design of Securing Water for Food: A Grand Challenge for Development

Sida and USAID (the founding partners) will launch Securing Water for Food: A Grand Challenge for Development at the World Water Week in Stockholm. The founding partners anticipate committing more than $25M to source and accelerate innovative technologies and business models that use existing water resources more sustainably and find new sources of water for food security. Please see attached concept note for more information (link to file).

On September 3, 2013 from 10:30 am - 2 pm (lunch is provided), we will be convening a workshop with organizations in water-related technology, finance, and governance areas to help design Securing Water for Food: A Grand Challenge for Development.

We hope that you can send a representative to join us to discuss Securing Water for Food. A link to the registration website is provided for you to confirm your attendance. When registering you will also be asked to answer a few questions to help us develop the agenda for the workshop. Further details about the location of the workshop and the agenda will be provided upon confirmation of attendance. Invitations are transferrable.

Please follow the link for registration (link to form). RSVP August 23.
