1st International Water Nexus Conference 2015: Catalysis for Water Purification

Venue: EXCO, Daegu, Korea

Date: 28-30 October, 2015

Organizer: Kyungpook National University in collaboration with the Korean Society of Environmental Engineers

The 1st International Water Nexus Conference will be an international forum to share and discuss about recent research activities with respect to photocatalysis and electrocatalysis for water and wastewater treatment. With the recent water-energy nexus issue, much attention has been paid into solar photocatalysis for water treatment and self-sustaining electrocatalytic process for wastewater treatment. In addition, heterogeneous catalytic detoxification of micropollutants, such as pharmaceuticals, endocrine disruptors, and cynotoxins, is very interesting along with mechanistic understanding on their degradation pathways and byproducts formation. Selected papers related to these topics will be presented in the conference. Some of the renowned international scholars, who can deliver keynote lectures on such issues, are invited. This conference is believed to be fruitful for all the participants in terms of acquiring new ideas as well as making scholarly networks in water science and technology.
