EnerWat 2016, the first national Iranian conference on Water and Energy Nexus to be held in March

Water and energy crisis is one of the leading challenges facing the sustained development of mankind. The role of water in production of power, together with the utility of energy in water operations, has led international scholars and researchers to view the water and energy crisis as one and the same challenge. In recognition of the impact of this crisis on the future form of science and development, Sharif University of Technology is honored to host EnerWat 2016, the first national Iranian conference on the topic of water and energy nexus which will be held from 3/1/2016 to 3/3/2016.

Sharif University of Technology is Iran’s premier technical university with a leading record in national scientific and technological developments. The Sharif Event on Water and Energy Nexus (EnerWat2016) will be jointly organized by the Department of Electrical Engineering Resana Institute the Sharif Institute for Water and Energy.

The aim of this event is to provide a forum for networking of engineers, managers, and environmentalists in order to discuss solutions and increase awareness on the Water and Energy nexus. In order to reach these goals IWA’s tech sponsorship will be pleased.
