World Water Congress: Building a Green Infrastructure Agenda for the Latin American Water Sector

Invitation to join the Forest Trends event at the XVI World Water Congress in Mexico


During the XVI World Water Congress, hosted in Cancun, Mexico, Forest Trends will be holding a special session Building a Green Infrastructure Agenda for the Latin American Water Sector 

Green Infrastructure is the management of ecosystems that provide and regulate water, and it is indispensable to achieve water security. The Latin American water sector in particular is increasingly embracing this approach; however, there are technical, financial, methodological and capacity gaps, preventing green infrastructure from reaching scale. This special session will bring together different actors (engineers, policymakers, economist, and environmental experts) to identify different ways to address these gaps to scaling the use of green infrastructure in Latin America. 

This session will include presentations from:
